'Twas the Night Before Christmas

... and the only mice that were stirring were these little rugrats.

Charlotte is really into making this cheesy, almost painful-looking grin for the camera right now.

Lovely Aunt Lolly. The huge beast behind her is her dog Silas, who is about twice the size of Charlotte. Charlotte kept calling him "Horse" and wouldn't get anywhere near him. Good call, Charlotte!

Early in the evening, the men retreated to the downstairs "man cave" for some quality bonding time over the Xbox.

Just in case this whole gig as a lawyer doesn't pan out, Adam wants to make sure he has other career options ...

My dad Steve dressed up as Santa Claus and went down the street to surprise the grandchildren of my mom's cousin, while the REAL Santa took some time out of his busy schedule to make a pit stop at Grammy's place to see Charlotte and Grey.

Lucy loved Santa so much that it was hard to tell where Santa ended and she began.

Dallin wanted to cover all of his bases just in case Santa hadn't received his letter.

In our household, the cheesy grin is referred to as the Christmas smile....Adam did it constantly at the same age....you definitely need life jackets in the gene pool

Life jackets for sure this Christmas! I thought we would all drown in the flood in the basement before Christmas ever got here! Adam, Caroline, Lauren M,Sarah, Kari (Sarah's Mom), Ariel and Dallin saved the day! Adam and I went out and bucketed out water from the window wells in raining 36 degree weather in the dark for what seemed like hours and a useless cause... while Steve ran to the store to get a sump pump! That Grinch tried all Christmas to spoil our fun but he did not succeed! Thanks all!
