Grey's First Cone

Poor Grey ... Even though we regularly drive through at McDonald's for ice cream cones on Friday night, Grey never gets one.  No, our poor little guy ends up watching the other three members of his family eating ice cream in front of him.  It was breaking my heart this time, watching him reach out sweetly with his little arms, first toward me, then Daddy, then Charlotte, and then stick his big lip out.  So as soon as we got home I gave him the rest of Charlotte's.  (Hey, I wasn't going to give him mine! )

This one is my favorite: Grey smiling in satisfaction at finally getting an ice cream cone in his little fist.
And he's so sweet that he wants to share with me.

Fairy Princess

On Valentine's Day, Charlotte was invited to a Princess Tea Party by some of her other little girlfriends.  She was very excited to wear her pink princess dress, silver shoes, jewelry, and wand to the party.  (Her crown was broken, but fortunately she was so excited about the party that she forgot about it.)

Casting a spell

Charlotte is really into dressing up and becoming more interested in makeup and jewelry recently.  A few days ago, Charlotte asked me if she could wear earrings like Mommy. I told her no, not until she is twelve.  (I randomly picked that age.  I am not sure at what point I will take her to get her ears pierced, but it won't be anytime soon.)  Today, at church, she suddenly turned to me and said, "I'm twelve now!  I wear earrings!"  Nice try, Cha-Cha.

Valentine's Stuff

Dear Grandparents, Since none of you have said anything about the valentines we made you, we just thought we would put some pictures up here in case the mailman decided to keep them for himself.  (Yeah, they were that cute.  You should be really mad if they didn't make it to your house!)

Charlotte's special mailbox that she took to preschool for her friends to fill with valentines.  Cha-Cha put the stickers on, and Mommy plastered it with pictures of her sweet girl.  (I figured I had to do this now because in a couple of years she would be so embarrassed if I did this!)

Going Apostate

Dear Academia,

Here I come again.  Just thought I'd warn you and everyone else.  (This mommy's brain is feeling little rusty.)
