The Magic of Photoshop

Wow, look what my friend Kellie did. Amazing! You can't even tell there was a meltdown. Too bad you can't pause every day life and photoshop a sweet child in for an unhappy one!

Charlotte's Two-Year Pictures and More Grey

Can you believe how beautiful my children are? I just can't get enough of these pictures. On Saturday, we took Charlotte and Grey to a portrait studio with the intention of 1) getting Charlotte's overdue two-year pictures taken, and 2) getting some pictures of Charlotte and Grey together. Unfortunately, Charlotte had different intentions. She was good for the first two minutes that we were in the studio in which both of these beautiful pictures of her were taken. Then she had a meltdown the second the photographer tried to get her to pose with Grey and the session was over as far as she was concerned. But we did end up with some pretty cute photos of baby brother all by himself as a concession prize.

Just so you know I'm not exaggerating about the meltdown ...

This is the best picture we got of the two of them together. Not good. Taken about thirty seconds before the crying began. And the next time we tried to get Charlotte to pose with Grey ...

Tears and screaming! Better luck next time, eh?

I'm Still Here

Hey, this is Cha Cha. I just want everyone to know that I'm still alive even though some random intruder has tried to take over my blog lately. Well, he may be winning the attention battle right now, but he won't win the war in the end. I'm too stinkin' cute to be ignored for long!

With a smile like this, who could forget about me?
All my little brother does is just sit there, cry, sleep, and poop his pants. (Okay, so I'm not potty-trained yet either ...)

Start saving your pennies for my braces, Daddy!

Guess what I'm going to be for Halloween ...

That's Why They Call It a Play Mat

Some Randoms from Grey's First Month

It is hard to believe that Baby Grey is a month old today. Time sure flies when you are trying to keep up with two kids every day! Grey had his one-month checkup today and no, it isn't just the camera adding pounds to him. Our little man has gone from 7 lbs. 13 oz. to 10 lbs. 4 oz. this month and gone from 19 1/2 to 21 1/2 inches. He still has dark hair and blue eyes just like his daddy's. While he likes to be held most of the time when he is awake (just like his sister did), Grey is a sweet baby and is already sleeping seven-hour stretches at night. Our first month with him has been wonderful ... and we are looking forward to that seven hours turning into twelve before too long. Love you, my sweet baby son!

Some anxiety during his first bath ...

All dressed up on his first Sunday at church.

Having a "play date" (or an "ignore date") with little Afton, born two days after Grey.

Grey's First Photo Shoot, Part II

Two more from Grey's first photo shoot. I just can't get enough of these precious pictures. (Thanks so much for taking these again, Kelly. We LOVE them.)

Look at that sweet little smile!

Grey's First Photo Shoot (A Preview)

My friend Kelly (who took the pictures of Charlotte in the bluebonnets back in April) took some pictures of Grey yesterday morning. She is still finishing up most of the photos, but I couldn't wait to share these with everyone. They really capture how beautiful and sweet this precious little boy is. More to come soon!

Joanie Loves Chachi

The First Two Weeks

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to posting more pictures of Baby Grey. Two kids is really cutting into my "me" time, as anyone who has some will tell you. I'm lucky if I get ten minutes to myself right now when I'm not trying to nap or clean something up or give Charlotte the extra attention she has been craving. As you can see, though, she is crazy about her new little brother!

Just like Charlotte did, Grey enjoys sleeping with his head at odd angles.

The above pictures were taken last week. The below pictures are all from this week. It is amazing how much he has changed already just in the few days we have had him with us.

Grammy and her Grey-Grey.

Sleeping peacefully ... except for that Mom keeps taking pictures!
"Will you quit it already, Mom? Geeze!"

While Grey is the star of this post, Charlotte is too cute in her new hat to wait for another. More Cha-Cha to come soon!
